Henry Niepoetter is currently rehearsing for ArtsCentric’s upcoming production of La Cage aux Folles (Dermah). He was last seen at Toby’s Dinner Theatre in Newsies (Jojo). Henry won the 2017 Helen Hayes Award-Outstanding Ensemble (Helen) for his performance of the title role in Adventure Theatre’s James and Giant Peach. He has worked at a number of area theaters including two productions of Oliver! at Arena Stage (Workhouse Boy/Fagin’s Gang) and Adventure Theatre (Orphan/Thief Ensemble/Oliver U/S); Carousel (Starkeeper/Heavenly Friend) and The King and I (Louis Leonowens) at a Olney Theatre Center; and The Love of the Nightingale (Itys) at Constellation Theatre Company. Henry sang as a member of the Washington National Opera’s Children’s Chorus in La Boheme and The Little Prince. On screen Henry can be seen as Young John Alex in the film Of Dice and Men. He made his professional debut at Ford’s Theater in A Christmas Carol (Young Scrooge/Turkey Boy/Ignorance). Henry is senior at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, MD.
